Sometimes, the right dog finds you. I was at a client's office in February of 2019 when his daughter came in with a puppy in tow. He was an adorable little thing, very attentive, and clumsy, and cute. I played with him for a bit, and asked the young lady how long she had the little guy. She responded that he wasn't hers, that a friend of hers had given her a few puppies to give away, and she was going to head down to the local grocery store that afternoon to do just that, and she had 2 more pups in the back of her vehicle. Against my better judgement, I walked outside and there he was. Sitting perfectly in the crate with those eyes, staring at me like "OK, let's go home". So, we did. His name is Waylon. He's 7 years old now, and still acts like a rowdy puppy.

I've been developing food products for 2-legged people for over two decades, so of course the quality of nutrition and the quality of ingredients were of paramount importance for Waylon's diet. I saw some of the commercially available options, and was disappointed. Even the so-called "Fresh" options were just a bag of mush. And prohibitively expensive. So I developed a plan. Why can't we make food for our 4-legged friends alongside what we are already making for people? Using the same type of quality ingredients, with the same level of food safety, and offer it to your best friend?
